Overcladding of industrial and commercial roofs is an economical way of enhancing your building’s performance without the disruption of removal and replacement. As well as preventing water ingress, you can improve the insulation and, in many cases, increase the EPC rating of the building.
Overcladding involves installing a bar and bracket system over the original roof, adding insulation and then finishing with a 0.7 Plastisol-coated steel sheet. These sheets have manufacturer’s warranties of up to 30 years. The process is less disruptive and can be quicker than roof replacement. JDB can coordinate all structural surveys and (in the case of asbestos roofs) will monitor asbestos levels in the air throughout the project.
