Factory Roof Overclad in Leicester
We are proud to have recently completed the 6000m2 roof refurbishment of a metal fabrication company in Leicestershire. Our client, an expert in industrial fabrication and metal manufacturing, having received quotations from many companies during their selection process, appointed JDB Refurbishments as their main contractor for the works as like them, we pride ourselves on our health and safety policies and processes, they could be reassured of quality workmanship, whilst working within a challenging environment.
On initial survey an overclad was deemed the best way to ensure our client received a 25 year manufacturers warranty and a watertight roof, without any disruption to their daily operations.
Once risk assessments, method statements, programmes of works were approved during pre construction meetings, materials were ordered to site whilst all health and safety elements were installed by our safety netting and scaffolding teams.
Highlights of the project included working hand in hand with both our structural engineer and JC Metalworks enabling the removal of an existing high bay structure on the roof, before making good in the new roof plane.
A site visit with our partner supplier H D Sharman, ensuring the unusually wide existing gutter was lined with a bespoke plygene gutter system, installed by our qualified operatives.
The results speak for themselves, a fabulous project from start to finish – all undertaken during a global pandemic – hats off to the teams at both JC Metalworks and JDB Refurbishments for all their hard work ensuring a safe running project during a challenging time.
