Refurbishment and Extension of Offices and Coachworks in Cambridgeshire

We were approached by our client with an ambitious refurbishment project.  The existing building had an asbestos roof, which was to be removed and replaced with new composite panels.  The walls were to be cladded to improve aesthetics, and a new extension introduced to increase floor space.

After all health and safety measures had been implemented, the project began with the removal of the existing asbestos roof.  This was replaced with 120mm composite panel and rooflights to suit. The walls were overclad with an 80mm microrib panel changing the external aesthetics dramatically.  A new gutter system was installed, and new flashings in a colour chosen by the client.

The extension was constructed by JDB with new steel work erected and purlins introduced.

The framework was then sheeted with 120mm composite roof covering and microrib wall cladding to match the newly installed on the existing building.

Once on site, and working closely with our client we were asked to quote for additional work regarding the flat roof over the reception area.  This was achieved with a Protan singleply overlay over the existing bitumen roof.

JDB were able to offer the whole package, bringing an old tired building back into the 21st century, looking like a new build much to the clients delight.  With increased floor space, natural light, and insulated panels improving the buildings energy efficiency, this project in Cambridgeshire highlights what can be achieved by JDB Industrial Roofing.
