Overclad of Asbestos Warehouse & Office Roof in Middlesbrough
A client in Middlesbrough required the 750m2 section of asbestos roofing on their warehouse and offices overcladding to prevent water ingress and increase thermal performance. After our free site survey to establish the existing framework of the building and also assess site specific H & S requirements, our estimating team quoted with their recommendations.
As part of our due diligence JDB have undertook structural engineers surveys to ascertain that the existing framework could take the additional weight of an overclad, combined with snow load. Our calculations also determine whether the framework has the capacity to take solar panels in the future. All of our operatives are UKATA trained, and after clarification from our asbestos surveyor whilst conducting the R & D Asbestos survey (refurbishment and demolition) the redundant vents/cowls were removed following all HSE and UKATA guidelines.
JDB have overclad the roof, incorporating insulation and HD Sharmans bespoke plygene gutter lining. New barge, eaves and ridge flashing have also been installed. The building now offers our client peace of mind with a lengthy warranty.
